Hand in Hand for Haiti is a collective response to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti following the catastrophic earthquake that hit the country on January 12. The project, which has generated extraordinary support has built a world-class education facility in an area of great need. The school, Lycée Jean-Baptiste Pointe du Sable opened on October 3, 2011

The Republic of Haiti is located in the Caribbean basin (which, geographically, is part of North America), in the western one-third of the island of Hispaniola, between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean.
Hand in Hand for Haiti is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the United States.
The organization was developed along the principles of strict governance, absolute transparency and strong financial discipline, with 100 percent of the funds raised going toward rebuilding projects in Haiti.
